Duet Days, Weekends & Courses

Anne & Geoffrey are leading tutors in the field of piano duet performance and interpretation, encouraging not only those who have already discovered the joy of playing duets but also those who have only played solo pieces and would like to try playing in ensemble with others.

Anne and Geoffrey organize and tutor various events during the year at different venues nationwide. Emphasis is always on enjoyment, enthusiasm and fun as well as serious study. Pre-formed duos and individuals are welcome to attend, bringing pieces of their own choice as well as ones chosen from a set list. New repertoire is often introduced, with discussion and exchange of ideas. Individuals can be timetabled to work as ‘swap-around-twosomes’

Music chosen has ranged from well-known composers to those who are not so well-known; from Schubert to Moszkowski, Ravel to Rachmaninov, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Brahms and Dvorak to Chaminade, Chabrier, Czerny, Debussy, Fauré, Hindemith, Poulenc, German, Grieg, Sydney Smith, John Carmichael and Edmund Jolliffe, naming but a few – the list goes on (see our repertoire list!)
